Description:
Up until the late 1800's ships and barges moored up at the quay outside Kyabram, the quay (now Station Road) was the main trading area of Bembridge, with retail shops and commercial warehouses fronting the docks. When the railway was built from Brading and St. Helens the area took on a different feel as an entrance way to the Victorian seaside promenade with 3 hotels in close proximity, the station and a pier with steamers coming from the mainland and the shopping area moved up the hill to the current position. Kyabram has now been totally refurbished and provides an interesting 3-storey house run as a holiday home.
